To download a customer's Microsoft Dynamics NAV license file from PartnerSource Business Center, follow these steps:
- Log on to
PartnerSource Business Center.
Specific Customer Information.
- Enter search information in the
Customer Lookup form to search for the customer, and then click
- Click the
Company Name of the customer for whom you searched in step 3. This opens up
- Under Registered Products on the Customer Summary page, click
- Select the desired version in the
Request andDisplay License Keys For Version field.
Display License Keys.
- On the Request License Keys page, select
Download License/Registration Key.
Save in the File Download dialog box, select the folder where you want to download the license file to in the Save As dialog box and then click
Note: Do not open the license key before saving it as this may cause problems when you implement the license file.
Note: If you cannot see Registration keys in PartnerSource Business Center you will need to ensure that your PartnerSource Business Center access has “Can See Registration Keys” set to yes. For more information, please see (Partner-only)

Note: You may receive the following error message when importing or uploading a license file in Microsoft Dynamics NAV after downloading the license file from PartnerSource Business Center: “The file format is invalid. The file is not a valid license file”. This problem can be caused by opening the license file from the Request License Keys page before saving the file. To solve the problem please download the license file again and this time, save the license file without first opening the file.

follow this step:
Display Permission Report.
The Permission report for a license lists all the information included in a NAV license file in details, like which granules are included in the license and the objects included in the granules that the license gives permissions for.
