Critical Update Notes

1.**NEW** When upgrading Web Services to Web Services for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010, you cannot select the Active Directory or SQL Server option for the location of the Dynamics Security Data Store.
To upgrade a previous version of Web Services to Web Services for GP 2010, during the installation of Web Services for GP 2010 the Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM) option must be selected for the Dynamics Security Data Store. Then the server where the previous Web Services installation resided must be entered in order for the existing security store to be located and used during the upgrade.
Details on the Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM) security store option can be found in Chapter 4 of the WSInstallAdminGuide.pdf guide.

2. **NEW** When implementing Web Services for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 using the SQL Server option for the location of the Web Services Security Data Store, the DYNAMICS system database cannot be used. The database selected for the Web Services Security Data Store must have a database owner which is a Windows user account. The database owner for the DYNAMICS system database must be DYNSA which is a SQL login. The recommended installation is to create a new unique SQL database specifically for Web Services Security Data Store. A suggested database ID is WSSecurityDB. Details on the Web Services Security Data Store option can be found in Chapter 4 of the WSInstallAdminGuide.pdf guide.
